Diet or Regular Soda - Which is Better for Weight Loss?

You don't want to drink diet or regular soda when trying to lose weight. The reason why is regular soda contains a ton of sugar -- an average bottle has over 60 grams of sugar, which is around 16 teaspoons. So, when you drink it, your blood sugar and insulin levels go up in response, both of which will make you gain weight.
On the other hand, when you drink diet soda, even though it has zero sugar or calories, it still triggers your insulin response, which will make you gain weight. Just think about it, if diet soda was the answer for weight loss then everyone who's drinking diet soda should be losing weight. But, they're not. So, don't drink it.
What should you drink instead? It's best to stick with regular water or sparkling water.
